The Northwest NCA
The Northwest Regional Council of the National Construction Alliance II (NWNCA) is comprised of the Pacific Northwest Regional Council of Carpenters and Oregon Local 701 and Washington Locals 302 and 612 of the International Union of Operating Engineers – two of the largest construction trades unions in the northwest.
The purpose of the NWNCA is three fold:
1. Effectively partner with our signatory contractors;
2. Reduce costly labor disputes that can slow and stop work; and
3. Provide our members with living wages and medical benefits that protect and support them and their entire family.
Our contractors are served by a highly skilled workforce that is trained and bolstered by our training centers across the northwest. A typical NWNCA craftsperson receives an equivalent of a 4 year degree in the construction trades.
The NWNCA and our partner contractors get projects done right, on time and on budget. Expert craftspeople work accurately and efficiently to avoid costly mistakes and project overruns related to increased man hours and materials.
The NWNCA works collaboratively with our partner contractors to build the future of the northwest.
The NWNCA is the manifestation of the desire to continue our member union’s progress toward more productive relationships with our contractors and away from the adversarial and sometimes antagonistic posture that some labor organizations maintain.
